I just saw a news recently, about an organization that scams people (poor people rather) for their money.

The news originated in Tangerang, Indonesia where many people (especially the poor ones) are screaming helplessly after they have been cheated by an organization called Yayasan Amalillah (Amalillah Organization).

The so called Amallilah organization was organizing an investment plan called "dana hibah" for low and middle income class citizens of Tangerang. People who interested were required to provide some kind of upfront payment with a promise of a big payout.

Mustofa for example, an elderly man in Cisauk, Tangerang who was enticed with the promises given by the employee of Yayasan Amalillah was willing to give out 100,000 Rupiah (about 10 USD) and a copy of his ID card as an agreement for the payout. He was thinking of using it for Idul Fitri celebration.

Eid ul-Fitr or Id-ul-Fitr, often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity", while Fiṭr means "to break the fast" (and can also mean "nature", from the word "fitrah"); and so the holiday symbolizes the breaking of the fasting period. It is celebrated starting on the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal.

Lebaran or Idul Fitri have passed, but the promised payout was never delivered. Mustofa doesn't know what else to do to get his money back. He had to sell one of his goats to pay for the upfront "dana hibah". He was still expecting that one of these days, the payout will come.

Other than Mustofa, there are at least 536 other victims who resided in Cisauk, Tenjo, Cibogo and Pagedangan area. In the village of Banyuasih, 315 people gave out 35,000 Rupiah each (3.5 USD) because they were enticed by the false promises of "dana hibah". Like Mustofa they were each promised a payout of somewhere between 150 to 1500 USD.

It turned out that Yayasan Amalillah have been scamming the villagers for more than 7 years, the promised payout was never existed, and now the primary leader of the Yayasan Amalillah is in police custody.

Now here is my take on the whole issue, why would you think you can earn money via trust and not a contract. I don't go to the bank and start giving out my money away without a receipt of deposit...

Here is exactly a slap in the face for the middle and lower class Indonesian people, there are too many people who still believe in miracle, believe in the kind words of others. I think it is just naive, and it quickly turns into stupidity.

People should learn that there is no payout except via honesty and hard WORK, there is no money if you do not WORK. Although what Yayasan Amalillah doing is considered a crime, the true criminal is the government who does not educate these people (or provide the educational facilities). Even more crime had been committed by these people, where they think someone will just hand them all the money and the help they need when they need them (HOW CONVENIENT).

If 536 Indonesian people is not wrong, then they are simply stupid. They should ask God to hand them a pack of "Stupid Bleach" or "Moron Whiteout".

I just recently got a phone call, from someone who I have not talked for almost a year. The funny thing is, the only way I know and remember this person is because I used to date her daughter. (I'll call it a date anyway).

You see at that time, it was cute, her daughter was cute, I loved her (the daughter) with all my heart. We've met somewhere way back in Mexico, and I supposed we just kinda hit it off. I love chicks with awesome boobs, she liked bad boys with sportbike, hence we always hang out when weekend comes.

The point is, I got burned... I was slaving my ass off, buying gifts taking her (daughter) out, meticulously I even knows what kind of perfume she wears and send her a whole paycheck amount of jewelry for Valentine's Day. I spend countless hours dedicating my time to make her want to be with me.

Then she (the daughter) dropped the bomb on me, she told me I was not her type and that we should be just good friends. I was a fool for not believing that, but the slap in the face comes down fast and hard. She even help manage to help me move in with a new roommate (in which I later find out, was her Ex-Boyfriend).

Supposedly now though, she (the daughter) had graduated with a Master's degree, enjoying life with a rich Irishman (heck she even went vacation to Ireland with the dude). I think this is due to the fact that women prefers assholes who look pretty and can dance like a drunken leprechaun. If I would have told her years back that I came from Ireland and stick some fake beard on my chinny, I might have a chance with her.

To make long story short, fast forward several years. This lady called and told me that she needed help. She needed some money to cover the bills, because she is falling behind...

She got a mortgage that she could not afford
She got a car payment that she could not afford
She doesn't have money to cover the daily necessities

And she needs $600 moolah from me.

Here is the ignoramus part,

Too many people trying to live the American dreams without realizing how much and how far they could afford.

-The fact that I am not even humping her daughter, makes no sense to me whatsoever why am I even on the call list for this favor? -This is ignorant

-The fact that you have a mortgage greater than your monthly paycheck (expecting donations from your kids or someone else) -This is ignorant.

-The fact that mommy's little girl should be there to help her instead. How much does a psychologist makes a year anyway ? -This is ignorant.

-The fact that she thinks that I have not moved on since her daughter dropped the da' bomb on me and that it is not appropriate... - This is ignorant.
